Professional Mentoring & Coaching Services
Conflict Resolution Management Services (CRMS)
Career Link
This is a developing project of CRNCBP and we would value your feedback and expressions of
interest.
The project is being considered in three separate areas:
The first is a plan to assist young female university graduates find apprenticeships or
traineeships for a minimum of six months in an industry directly relating to their area of
study and future career path. The idea is for these young women to be given an
opportunity to have meaningful employment where they will learn to apply their knowledge
in the workplace while they gained experience in the business world. In addition they will
be given training in basic office procedures. They will also be required to complete the
accredited training program in conflict resolution skills and work on a community project
with their peer group. Some organisations have already expressed interest in
supporting the process directly or in placement of graduates Sony Music, Westpac
Banking Services, Zonta International and the Conflict Resolution Network.
The second initiative will be to extend this process to school leavers and people
contemplating a career change. Suggestions and ideas are welcome.
The third area is to include a modified model in "whole school" communities as
part of personal and professional development for students, teachers, ancillary staff,
parents and interested members of the community. The focus in this section would be more
on developing self-esteem and broadening decision-making choices, managing difficult
situations, coping with and reducing bullying, enhancing awareness of social issues and
developing strategies to minimise students putting themselves at risk.
